To better understand the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we have to track down how the Scriptures talk about it - not a denomination, not tradition, not church culture.
In this lesson, we discover that the baptism of the Spirit is synonymous with:- receiving the (gift of the) Holy Spirit- the outpouring of the Spirit- the coming upon/falling of the Holy Spirit- the promise of the Father
Listen to see how the Bible talks about it.

Many have grossly underestimated the power of biblically confessing, believing, and calling upon the name of the Lord.
And many have not truly done these thinking that "salvation" is acquired by some mental acknowledgement of Jesus or "sinner's prayer".
Listen to this episode to find out what the Scriptures actually teach about confessing, believing, and calling upon the name of the Lord.
You may be very surprised to discover what it is connected to.

Teaching water baptism is not the same as teaching salvation by works (of flesh or the Old Testament law).
Many have this wrong by throwing around phrases like, "we are not saved by works", and have no idea what that means.
Listen to this episode to find out how the Scriptures actually teach salvation by works, not of man, but of God.

Some people have mistakenly taught that water baptism is not necessary because death-bed conversions make it impossible. Statements are made like, "God sees their heart and that's all that matters."
Yet, how God may see a person’s heart that we cannot see, cannot and does not change what the Bible says, teaches, and commands us to do, whether in principle, pattern, and precept. No one can change what the Bible says because of a death-bed conversion or personal, emotional attachment one may have to an individual who dies without being baptized.
These situations are exceptional, not exemplary.
In this video, we look at this from a Scriptural perspective and take a look at what sound doctrine actually means.

Is baptism necessary for salvation? What about the thief on the cross?
Many have said it is not necessary to be baptized for salvation and use the story of the thief on the cross as support for that position.
That position is not Scriptural. In this video, we look into the story of the thief on the cross and the importance of not allowing our previous experience in the Lord to stop us from receiving more of God, according to Scripture.

Jesus said to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, to which the New Testament Church baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Why did this happen? Is this a contradiction? Or just semantics?
Or is it a deeper revelation?
Listen to this episode to learn the answer from a biblical perspective.

The practice of the New Testament Church was to baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, by actually invoking the name of Jesus Christ.
They did not repeat the words of Jesus from Matthew 28.19, they obeyed the words of Jesus by their actions.
